How to calculate average value

The Average is known as "mean"value. There are mainly two types of mean or average "median" and "mode". The term of average speaks you to seek out the mean which can  calculated with basic addition and division .

 Example-1

 Find Average mark in your Science class.

There are 8 students. And their are percentage are- 40,50,60,70,80,45,70,72=487

Divided that total by the number scores you 

added 

487/8 = 60.875

The results is Average mark in your Science class.

Median

Which is the middle number of a group of number;that is;half the number have values that are greater than the median,and half of the number have values that are less than the median .

For Example, the median of 2,3,35,7,and 10 is 4

Mode

Which is the frequently occurring number in a group of number ,

For Example the mode of 2,3,3,5,7and 10is 3

Average formula

Average= (sum of observation)÷

(Total number of observation)

Example-2

The weight of students in a class are listed here: (50,55,53,56,57,58)

Number of students =6

Using average formula 

Average={sum of observation}÷{total number of observation}

Average={50+55+53+56+57+58}÷{6}

= 54.833

Answer : Average weight of students is 54.833
